Our students learn both the classical dance form of Assam, Satriya, and folk dances such as Bihu as a part of the regular school curriculum. They get lessons in mono-acting, miming and street plays.

Learning Goes Beyond the Classroom
We strive to ensure that graduates of Parijat are career-ready individuals with a sense of responsibility towards themselves, their communities, and the environment. Besides the regular academic curriculum, we conduct a range of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities for the holistic development of our students.
Educational Trips
Interactions with children from other schools help increase our
students’ exposure to the world beyond their own communities. We also organise
interactions with students from reputed institutes.
Health Care Delivery
Healthcare professionals from Guwahati offer free health screening including eye screening to our students. Through these camps, we also raise our
children’s awareness of health and sanitation.
Trekking
We take high school students on treks and hikes in the neighbouring areas to instill in them a love for nature. Some popular activities during treks are birdwatching and rope climbing.
Weaving & Tailoring
We promote weaving as a source of livelihood and encourage our high
school students to learn the indigenous weaving techniques of Assam. Products such as gamosas and mekhela sadors made by our.
Jungle survival camp
In these camps, children learn simple tips and tricks to survive a night in the jungle such as how to pitch a tent, find their way in a jungle and light a fire.
We provide free holistic education and accommodation to children from socio-economically disadvantaged communities in Assam.
