The problem statement

Our teachers are from nearby villages, many of whom are from lower middle class families themselves. They are the backbone of the school. Since they come from the nearby villages, they understand the ground realities well and are sensitised to the specific needs of the school and the children. Moreover, it is not easy to hire new teachers as not many teachers would want to travel to a village from Guwahati, the nearest city from this school, where there are more opportunities.

However, due to the lack of funds, we have not been able to pay the teachers their salaries on time. There is a high risk of teachers leaving the school, which will adversely affect the academic programme of the school.

Proposed solution

We are seeking the help of donors to support us in paying our staff their dues on time. We have a head administrator, a principal and 18 teachers. By paying the teachers their salaries on time, we will be able to not only retain our staff but also keep them motivated.
