Answers to your questions

Everything you might want to know about Parijat Academy, our children and how to support us. Still stuck? Just ask — we are happy to help.

01. Who does Parijat Academy serve?

We serve children from socio-economically disadvantaged tribal communities in the outskirts of Guwahati, Assam. Most of our 350+ students study free or at highly subsidised rates.

02. Where are your schools?

Our two campuses are in Pamohi village and the neighbouring village of Garbhanga. Our mailing address is Pamohi, P.O. Garchuk, Guwahati, Assam 781035.

03. Which grades do you teach?

We teach from nursery through Grade 10, taking children on a continuous journey through their schooling years.

04. Do children from far away stay at the school?

Yes. We offer accommodation to children from remote villages so they can attend school, with caring staff and nutritious meals provided on campus.

05. How can I sponsor a child or a teacher?

Visit our Donate page and choose “Sponsor a child for a year” or “Sponsor a teacher for a year”. You can also write to us and we will help you set up a sponsorship.

06. Can I volunteer with Parijat Academy?

Absolutely. Volunteer teachers and helpers are always welcome. Get in touch through our Contact page and tell us how you would like to help.

07. How are donations used?

Donations fund free and subsidised education, teachers’ salaries, residential care, meals, learning materials and the upkeep and renovation of our campuses.

08. Can I visit the campus?

We would love to show you our work. Please contact us beforehand so we can arrange a convenient time for a visit.
