Our Mission
Education is the ladder out of poverty
Parijat Academy exists to give every child — regardless of family income — the education, care and life skills they need to build a secure, dignified future.
What we are committed to
Our vision and our mission
Our Vision
To empower children from less-privileged communities to escape poverty through holistic education.
Our Mission
To provide a stimulating and caring environment in which every child can realise his or her full potential, with education that equips children with life skills and livelihood training to become financially independent adults.
How we do it
What that means at Parijat Academy
We do not simply run classrooms. We run a home, a school and a launchpad for life.
School education
Free or highly subsidised schooling from nursery to Grade 10 at two campuses in Pamohi and Garbhanga, with dedicated teachers who know each child by name.
Care and residential support
Hostel facilities where children from remote villages live, eat and study safely — with caring staff who double as mentors and care-givers.
Life skills and livelihoods
A weaving and craft centre plus vocational and life-skills training, so children can find meaningful employment once they graduate.

Our story
From four children to two schools
Parijat Academy began in 2003 in a 100-square-foot room in Pamohi Village with four children and INR 800. Today our two schools in Pamohi and Garbhanga educate more than 350 students from ten tribal villages — free or at highly subsidised rates — and have seen more than 2,000 young people graduate.
Every child who walks through our gates is a reminder of why this work matters.

Help us keep education the ladder out of poverty for every child.
