Child Support Expense
- Parijat Academy, Pamohi Campus serves children from Garbhanga Forest Village and the surrounding tribal hamlets – children who are the first generation in their families to go to school.
- Children are brought to the Pamohi campus from their homes in Garbhanga village at around the age of 8. Until then, they study at the Parijat Academy, Garbhanga Campus.
- At Pamohi we provide hostel accommodation, food, clothing, school supplies and take care of their other needs – including medical and related expenses – until they pass out of the 12th grade at 16 to 18.
- It costs an average of Rs. 2,000 per child per month to take care of every Garbhanga child, and we have a requirement to take care of at least 100 such children each month.
- Due to limited donation support, we are able to only take care of approximately 20 Garbhanga children at the Parijat Academy, Pamohi Campus. We need more generous supporters like you.
Teachers Salary Expense
- Parijat Academy’s Pamohi Campus has more than 250 students and more than 15 dedicated teachers. The salary of each teacher ranges from Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 25,000 per month.
- A fee of only Rs. 100 per month is charged to the local resident children who come to this school. Children from Garbhanga village study for free. The fees we collect are less than 10% of the total funds needed to pay for the teachers’ salaries.
- Teachers’ pay is therefore mainly funded by supporters like you.
Parijat School Maintenance
- Your gift keeps the Pamohi campus safe, clean and welcoming for every child – classrooms, hostels, the dining and kitchen areas, drinking water, toilets and sanitary facilities.
- We need at least Rs. 10,000 each month for campus maintenance-related expenses.
- Donations fund day-to-day upkeep, repairs and the occasional renovation so our children always learn in a cared-for environment.
- We have plans to upgrade the facilities, but we will need generous donations of more than Rs. 10 Lacs to support such an effort.
